"Snagged" is the first of the Copper River Romances.
In some places in Alaska, there are only two places to socialize, the bar and the church. Dorcas' family chose the church. Trying to find her path, she is spending the winter in a remote cabin. The pilot of a small plane crashes on the river ice. Dorcas pulls James out, saving his life.
James has been working alongside his father building the business for years. When he goes to Fairbanks to scout out a second location, his father is not happy about it. James leaves a day early. Far off course, his plane develops engine trouble over the Copper River. When he is tossed from the aircraft into the icy water, James thinks his life is over until the girl pulls him from the river.
There is a family connection which goes back over twenty-five years, something neither of the young people discovers until her family comes to spend Christmas at the remote cabin. Will an old lie tear the young couple apart? Will James' father finally listen to the truth?

Woven with romance, friendship, and religion, Snagged tells the story of James and Dorcas, how they meet and where their chance encounter takes them. Set in the rugged wilderness of Alaska, the author does a fantastic job of describing the setting and the way it affects the characters. The details were beautifully written and I deeply enjoyed the way the author had a focus on the religious beliefs of both characters and used that to make their relationship even stronger.Product details

This is one of those books that you can read and identify with and wonder if the events actually happened. The storyline was well written with a very careful plot.
If you like listening to stories and if you like following through stories, you will LOVE "Snugged Alaskan Contemporary Romance". I enjoyed it
So I had a chance to read James and Dorca’s story through the eyes of an amazingly talented author. From the clear crisp descriptions of Alaska to the path to god which helps to bring us closer to true happiness Snagged is a must read. Sometimes finding your soul mate even with different life perspectives and beliefs that with god all things really are possible. I believe that this is the perfect book for anyone that is looking for an adventure and romance wrapped in a Christian goodness.
This is a well written novel that lends a good understanding of the reality of living a God Centered Christian life woven into a compelling love story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel, and being able to watch the change of James’ heart as he began to trust God was touching. I highly recommend this novel to both believers and unbelievers. For believers it will reinforce that sense of faith and trust in God; for unbelievers it may just be the spring board into a new way of life, perhaps answering some questions, and opening the door to a relationship with Jesus. I highly recommend this novel as a good read.

This was great book and inspired me to read books 2& 3 however, book 1 was my best .
I really enjoyed the story of Dorca and James. It is wonderful to read a story where the heroine has such an unwavering faith. You feel her conviction and can understand the pull that James feels just being in her presence. This book was well written with wonderful descriptions of Alaska's land and environment. It was definitely a nice little getaway with a heart lifting story.
This is an interesting story that follows James and Dorcas and their romance. The Alaska scenery was beautiful and it took me to a different part of the country, which is great. It’s a very well-written book and has a lot of religious themes. While religious books aren’t my taste personally, those who like romance novels with strong religious themes will like this story.
This is the first book in Author, Cherime MacFarland’s, Copper River Romance series and I love it. I was intrigued by this story for a number of reasons. I don’t know much about the state of Alaska but the author’s vivid descriptions of the frigidity of the setting and the associated exiguous life style of young Dorcas were realistic enough for me to curl up with a huge warm comforter!
It was also refreshing to read about a budding romance between two people who despite their strong physical attraction respect each others differing religious outlooks enough to maintain a friendship while sorting through their feelings for each other.
This book is well written and I highly recommend it to readers looking for a good romance.
